Rossogolla is traditional Bengali sweet and in some ways symbolic of Indian desserts to the west! They are actually made of small balls of Indian cottage cheese ("chhana"/"chhena") cooked in sugar syrup till it achieves a spongy consistency with high binding capacity by absorbing substantial quantities of the syrup. A can of K.C. Das’ Rossogollas contains 20 pieces of rossogollas made from the purest form of cow milk . These have been manufactured in their factory in Kolkata and can be preserved for over a period of 6 months. However once opened, they need to be consumed within 7 days under refrigeration.

The canned Rossogollas contain fructo-oligosaccharide (pro-biotic) along with class 2 preservatives, INS 224 & INS 234 Pure cow milk casein (Chhana), Sugar syrup, minerals, vitamins.
