This product from brand ‘Mrs. Bector’s’ under its ‘Cremica’ range contains ‘Bourbon’ biscuits, which are essentially sandwich biscuits with chocolate cream. The biscuits have a slightly ‘cocoa-malty’ flavour. The sugar sprinkles are neither sparingly present nor overdone. The biscuits are neither too hard to bite into, nor overly soft or crumbly. Their texture is, therefore, rather pleasant, complementing the firm yet soft chocolate cream component very well. The chocolate cream has a robust flavour without being bitter or going ‘sweet’ overboard. There is often a lack of consistency as far as ‘Bourbon’ biscuits are concerned, when tried of more ‘mainstream’ brands such as ‘Britannia’, ‘Parle’ and ‘Sunfeast’ among others. This brand, on the other hand, ‘ticks’ all the right boxes. I have tried these biscuits thrice over the last few years, as they are quite difficult to find, and never been disappointed. Both the texture and flavour are ‘spot-on’! The biscuits can be enjoyed on their own, or with a hot milk-based beverage of one’s choice. The brand must widen its distribution network, and make such great products available all over India, as it can certainly give tough competition to the ‘mainstream’ brands in the ‘Biscuits’ category. Overall, this product is well worth the purchase.
