About the Product
SSP Asafoetida Powder has a strong flavor and aroma. It is extracted in the form of milk from the plant. The extraction is similar to the rubber extraction process. It is derived from a species of giant fennel and it has a unique flavor and smell. It is called for often in Indian cooking, mainly with legumes and dishes feature vegetables such as cauliflower. The odor may strike you as overpowering and somewhat unpleasant in cooking it mellows out and produces a savor similar to garlic and onion.
