This dish is a specialized dish from the East of India, where we Bengalis love our food. Very easy to prepare and finger-licking delicious.

Cooking Steps
Preparation
Step 1 :
Take a deep bottom pan and spread the chopped onion at the base.
Step 2 :
Then place the mutton pieces on top of the onion.
Step 3 :
Spread a layer of the grated green papaya on top of the mutton.
Step 4 :
Then add ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt and 3/4th of the oil.
Step 5 :
Pour water just enough to submerge all ingredients in the pan.
Step 6 :
Cover the pan & keep cooking till the mutton is 70% cooked.
Step 7 :
Cover the pan & keep cooking till the mutton is 70% cooked.
Step 8 :
When the mutton looks cooked, add the cinnamon powder and stir continuously.
Step 9 :
In a separate pan, take the remaining oil and add the cinnamon sticks. Fry the sticks till they turn black.
Step 10 :
Take out the cinnamon sticks and pour the cinnamon-flavored oil in the mutton pan.
Step 11 :
Keep stirring until all the water has reduced and the gravy has thickened.
Step 12 : Garnish with
Garnish with coriander leaves.
