Classic Deviled Eggs

From picnic to holiday parties, summer suppers to potlucks, these classic deviled eggs will spice up any occasion.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Place eggs in a saucepan, add enough water (just one and half inches of water above the eggs).

Step 2 :

Bring the water to boil, then cover and turn the heat to low and cook for 1 minute. Let it stand for 15 minutes. Drain and then rinse under cold water.

Step 3 :

Crack egg shells and peel under cool running water. Dry with paper towels (optional). Slice eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks in a bowl.

Step 4 :

Place the egg whites on a serving plate. Then mash the yolks with mayonnaise in a bowl using a fork or potato masher. Add vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper and mix well until smooth and creamy.

Step 5 :

Evenly spoon or pipe yolk mixture into egg white halves. Sprinkle with paprika and serve.
