Quinoa Dosa

A popular South Indian dish, Masala Dosa is indispensable if you are looking to work your way through Southern Indian cuisine. Famous for its different lengths, shapes and sizes, the humble dosa as tasty as it is capable of surprising.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Rinse the Quinoa out in running water for 5-7 minutes.

Step 2 :

Soak it along with dal and methi seeds for a minimum of 3 hours or overnight.

Step 3 :

Grind the mixture without the water.

Step 4 :

Add the water till the dosa batter is ready.

Step 5 :

Add salt and mix. Make dosas like with regular batter.

For the Masala

Step 1 :

Add some oil to a hot pan. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and some asafoetida.

Step 2 :

Add sliced onions, saute with a dash of salt.

Step 3 :

Add green chillies and turmeric and cook for a minute.

Step 4 :

Add chopped/mashed sweet potatoes.

Step 5 :

Fry a cone of the dosa and serve the sweet potato mixture on the side.
