It’s a delicious, filling and nutritious dish which you can have as a main meal, snacks or starters.

Preparation

Step 1 :

In a bowl, mix the quinoa and sooji together.

Step 2 :

Add the curd and mix well.

Step 3 :

Add the finely chopped vegetables to the batter and mix well.

Step 4 :

Add salt.

Step 5 :

Adjust the batter with water to reach an idli batter consistency.

Step 6 :

Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan.

Step 7 :

Splutter mustard seeds.

Step 8 :

Next, add the Bengal gram dal, ginger, green chilies and asafoetida and stir fry quickly.

Step 9 :

Add the tempering to the batter and allow to rest for half an hour.

Step 10 :

Meanwhile, grease the idli moulds with oil.

Step 11 :

Add sweet lime juice and Eno fruit salt to the batter and briskly mix it.

Step 12 :

Grease a pan with oil and pour the batter and steam for 8/10 minutes or till done.

Step 13 :

Serve hot with any chutney.
