Vegetable Biryani

A tasty and aromatic biryani, loved by family and friends!

Preparation

Step 1 :

First dry fry all the masala items one by one and then grind it.

Step 2 :

Wash and drain the basmati rice.

Step 3 :

In a kadai, pour a tsp of ghee and then fry the bay leaves.

Step 4 :

Then fry the drained basmati rice along with it. Put this in a cooker vessel or rice cooker.

Step 5 :

Again, pour a tsp of ghee in kadai and add all the chopped vegetable one by one into the kadai and fry well.

Step 6 :

Side by side, grind the green chilli, ginger and onion in a mixie grinder.

Step 7 :

Then pour the ground masala into the kadai along with the vegetables and mix well.

Step 8 :

Then add salt and one tbsp. biryani masala powder to it and mix well.

Step 9 :

After it has cooked well, pour this masala into the basmati rice and mix well.

Step 10 :

Then pour 4 cups of water into it and then add 1 tsp lemon juice and 1 tsp oil.

Step 11 :

Then mix well and add salt if required.

Step 12 :

If you are using pressure cooker keep it for 3 whistles.

Step 13 :

Put saffron strands in a cup of little water.

Step 14 :

After taking out the biryani, pour the saffron water into it and mix well.

Step 15 :

Now it is ready to serve.

Step 16 :

Onion raita is the best side dish for this.
