Preparation

Step 1 :

Wash the chicken in vinegar and salt.

Step 2 :

Boil rice with all the spices in water and a drop of oil. Strain once boiled.

Step 3 :

Fry onion till golden brown. Take it out and keep half of it for layering.

Step 4 :

Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté. Add tomatoes.

Step 5 :

Put all the masala powders and the chicken followed by lemon juice.

Step 6 :

Make it a thick gravy by putting it on medium to small flame for 30 minutes.

Step 7 :

Take a big vessel, layer and with A) onion, coriander and mint leaves and lemon juice. B) rice C) chicken gravy. Repeat the process. Top it with A.

Step 8 :

Bake it at 180°C for 20 minutes by closing it with an aluminium foil. Serve with onion raita, pappad and lime pickle.
