This Drumstick Soup is very healthy! It is a unique combination of South Indian and Continental Cuisine!

Step 1 :

Cut drumsticks into small fingers. Semi-boil the drumsticks, with turmeric powder. Remove the pulp, mash it and keep it aside.

Step 2 :

Cut onion, tomato and green chilli into small pieces and keep it separately.

Step 3 :

Heat butter in a pan; roast cinnamon, fennel seeds, cloves, pepper, cardamom, adding it one by one. Roast the spices on medium flame.

Step 4 :

After roasting all the mentioned spices, add curry leaves, onion and continue frying.

Step 5 :

When the onion turn transparent, add tomato. After its cooked, switch off the gas. Let it cool down for few minutes.

Step 6 :

Grind the masala into a fine paste. Ensure no chunks are remaining. If there are chunks, add some water to it and filter it.

Step 7 :

Add the mashed drumstick paste and salt to the filtered masala, and bring it to boil on medium flame. Add water, if required.

Step 8 :

Once it comes to a complete boil, switch off the flame. Garnish it with pepper powder and chopped coriander leaves.

Step 9 :

Serve it in bowls and add fresh cream to it.
