This is a classic French tea cake that is buttery, rich and mildly sweet. It is best served with coffee.

0.75 Cup Softened Butter 2 tbsp Sour Cream

2 tbsp Corn Starch 8 tbsp Milk

1 Cup Cake Flour 1 tsp Baking Powder

0.05 tsp Salt 1 tsp Lemon Extract

0.05 Cup Powdered Sugar

Cooking Steps

Step 1 :

Melt butter and keep it aside in a bowl.

Step 2 :

Mix corn starch with milk and sour cream, whisk until light and fluffy.

Step 3 :

Whisk in the powdered sugar with the lemon extract.

Step 4 :

Sieve the cake flour and fold in the milk mixture into the flour.

Step 5 :

Now, add the melted butter into the mixture and stir it well.

Step 6 :

Grease the cake tin and fill in the batter evenly across the tin.

Step 7 :

Bake it in a preheated oven, at 190 c for 12-15 minutes until the corners are golden in colour.
