In a mixing bowl sieve flour, salt and baking powder to avoid any lumps.
In another bowl, blend together oil and powdered sugar.
Separate egg whites from the yolk and beat them to a fluffy state till you see soft peaks.
Mix together flour and 2 tsp orange zest.
Add yolks one by one into it and keep mixing the mixture.
Next, pour orange juice and the oil sugar mixture into it and blend well again.
Pour the beaten egg whites in two batches and keep folding till everything is mixed well.
Add vanilla essence and give a final stir to it.
Preheat the oven to 180 degree C and set the cake to bake in a cake tin lined with butter paper and greased with butter.
Meanwhile, create a double boiler by heating a large pan of water and setting another bowl into it with butter and dark chocolate to melt.
Once it melts, add 2 tsp powdered sugar.
When the cake is done after 40-45 minutes, take it out. A toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake should come out clean.
After the cake cools down slightly, pour the frosting over the top and spread it evenly across.
Garnish it with freshly grated orange zest or orange slices.
