Cooking Steps

Step 1 :

Take tofu in a bowl.

Step 2 :

Add curd, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder. Mix it well and marinate it for 1 hour.

Step 3 :

Take a little oil and add roughly chopped tomato, green chillies, garlic, ginger, cashew pieces and a pinch of salt. Saute it for few minutes.

Step 4 :

Then, cool it for a while and then make a smooth paste from it using a grinder.

Step 5 :

Take a pan, add oil and saute bay leaf in it for a few seconds.

Step 6 :

Then add finely chopped onions and saute it till it turns brown on medium flame.

Step 7 :

After it turns brown, add the tomato paste and a pinch of salt.

Step 8 :

Cook it till the paste and oil separates. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder and coriander powder to it. Cook it for a minute or two.

Step 9 :

Add the marinated tofu and mix it properly. Add little bit of water and mix it well.

Step 10 :

Cook it for 5-10 minutes on medium flame.

Step 11 :

Add fresh coriander leaves as garnish and serve.
