Dry Fish Masala

This is an easy to make recipe for all seafood lovers. It is the best side dish to go with rice while having lunch or dinner.

Step 1 :

In a pan, slightly dry roast the dry fish.

Step 2 :

Using a bowl, clean and wash the dry fish with hot water.

Step 3 :

Heat oil, in the same pan.

Step 4 :

Once the oil is heated, add cumin seeds and onion to it. Saute it well till transparent.

Step 5 :

Add ginger garlic paste & curry leaves to it.

Step 6 :

Once the paste is well roasted, add tomatoes and saute till mushy.

Step 7 :

Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and chili powder to it, mix it well.

Step 8 :

Now, add dry fish to the prepared masala and allow it to saute on medium flame for 5 minutes.

Step 9 :

Add tamarind paste and salt into it.

Step 10 :

Turn the flame to sim and close the pan with a lid.

Step 11 :

Make sure the masala gets cooked well till the oil starts to separate around the edges.

Step 12 :

Finally, garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot with rice and curry.
