Holi, the festival of colors is incomplete without some delicious food. Here is an interesting gujiya recipe made from jaggery and dates.

Step 1 : For the dough

Mix melted ghee with wheat flour and rub with your palms.

Step 2 :

Knead a soft dough using around 150 ml water.

Step 3 :

Cover and keep it aside.

Step 4 : For the filling

Mix all ingredients to a soft mix and fill to the dough equally.

Step 5 :

Keep in the fridge till it gets firm.

Step 6 :

Deep fry in ghee under slow temperature till golden brown colour.

Step 7 :

Make a thick jaggery syrup and soak the gujiyas for sometime. Strain and sprinkle roasted sesame seeds and mixed nut flakes, as garnish.
