It is really quick and easy to prepare. A saviour dish that can be made during the monsoons. It is authentically eaten pipping hot with thin jowar rotis.

Step 1 :

Mix besan with 1 cup water nicely, so that there are no lumps.

Step 2 :

Heat ghee in a pan. Add mustard seeds, hing and cumin seeds, allow it to crackle.

Step 3 :

Add crushed garlic, curry leaves, turmeric powder and chopped onions. Saute till translucent.

Step 4 :

Add chopped coriander leaves and saute for half a minute.

Step 5 :

Add salt and remaining water. Let it boil.

Step 6 :

Pour in the besan mixture and stir continuously till the mixture thickens and turns slightly translucent.

Step 7 :

Switch off the flame and serve it hot with roti or rice. It tastes best, when its hot!
