Moru Curry is a traditional yet simple Kerala dish that is prepared for Onam.

Step 1 : To make the coconut paste

Blend together coconut with water, green chilies, garlic, cumin seeds and turmeric powder. Make a smooth paste from it.

Step 2 :

Make buttermilk by blending the curd.

Step 3 :

Heat oil in a pan over medium flame and add mustard and fenugreek seeds in it.

Step 4 :

Saute the seeds after adding dry red chilies and curry leaves in it.

Step 5 :

Add the prepared coconut paste and stir continuously to mix everything well. Turn the flame to low and add buttermilk in it.

Step 6 :

Cook until the curry thickens, then add salt and a little water and cover with a lid. Let it cook over low flame for 2-3 minutes.

Step 7 :

Serve it with red rice.
