Methi Cheese Paratha

Methi Cheese Paratha is a perfect dish for breakfast. It satisfies the stomach as well.

Step 1 :

In a large mixing bowl take 1 cup besan, ¼ tsp salt, 1 tsp ghee. Add chopped fresh methi to it. Add some water enough to make a regular dough.

Step 2 :

Mix the ingredients well and begin to knead it into a smooth and soft dough.

Step 3 :

Once done, allow the dough to rest.

Step 4 :

Now, prepare the cheese stuffing. In a bowl or plate, take all the ingredients – ½ cup tightly packed grated cheese, ¼ cup finely chopped onions, 1 or 2 green chilies (skip for kids), finely chopped and ¼ to ½ tsp crushed black pepper.

Step 5 :

Take a small bowl of crushed cheese and mix all the ingredients well and pinch two small balls from the dough. Roll them into discs using a rolling pin.

Step 6 :

Roll them into about 4 to 5 inches diameter rounds of same size and on one of the rolled dough circle, place the cheese stuffing in the center. Place the second circle on top and press and seal the edges. Dust some flour on the stuffed paratha.

Step 7 :

Begin to roll the cheese paratha about the size of a normal roti or chapati.

Step 8 :

On a hot tava place the rolled paratha and cook in on low temperature until crisp and brown. Spread ghee while cooking on both sides until brown spots appear on the paratha. Serve with cuird and pickle.
