Step 1 :
Mix flour, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, coffee powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt, together.
Step 2 :
Add melted butter, vanilla essence and hot milk. Combine it all together.
Step 3 :
Add hot milk if necessary, as the batter should be neither too thick nor too runny.
Step 4 :
Taste the sweetness, if needed add more powdered sugar.
Step 5 :
Grease a square baking tin with butter and dust it with cocoa powder. Now, pour the cake batter in it and even it out.
Step 6 :
Bake for 30 minutes or until a skewer comes out almost clean. Do not wait for it to come out completely clean as the cake would be over baked.
Step 7 :
Demould the cake and cool it off. Cut it into a sandwich shape.
Step 8 :
While the cake is baking in the oven, make cream cheese for the frosting. In a bowl, chilled cream to a chilled bowl and use an electric hand mixer to whip it.
Step 9 :
Add powdered sugar time to time and milk to get the right frosting consistency.
Step 10 :
Check the sweetness, add vanilla essence and food colour and mix again.
Step 11 :
Frost the cake's mid layer, top, and three sides with the cream cheese frosting.
Step 12 :
To garnish, chop some strawberries to add some freshness to each bite. Decorate on the frosting - top and sides, for better aesthetics.
