Millet Kaccha Kela Pocket Pizza

A usual pizza given a twist to turn it into an easy stuffed pocket baked with toppings is an anytime go to snack or even a light meal option. Loaded with the goodness of plantains and a variety of flours makes it an ideal choice.

Step 1 :

Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 180°C.

Step 2 :

Boil and mash 1/8th cup diced raw banana.

Step 3 :

Boil 1 tbsp peas.

Step 4 : For the stuffing

In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil.

Step 5 :

Add 1/4th tsp mustard seeds, 1/4th tsp jeera and allow to crackle.

Step 6 :

Add 1/2 tsp red chilly powder and water.

Step 7 :

Now add 1/8th tsp turmeric powder, 1/4th tsp garam masala, 1/8th tsp salt, 1 tbsp cooked peas, little water, cover and cook.

Step 8 :

Add the boiled and mashed raw banana, 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 9 : For the sheet

In a mixing bowl, add 1 tbsp wheat flour, 1 tbsp jowar flour, 1 tbsp bajra flour, 1/8th tsp salt and water to knead into dough.

Step 10 :

Roll out using rolling pin.

Roll out using rolling pin.

Step 12 :

Now add mixture and seal in square shape. Keep aside.

Step 13 :

Heat oil for frying and deep fry till golden brown.

Step 14 : For pocket pizza

On the fried pockets, apply 1/2 tbsp pizza sauce.

Step 15 :

Sprinkle 2 tbsp grated cheese, 1/4th tsp red chilly flakes and 1/4th tsp mixed herbs.

Step 16 :

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10 minutes.

Step 17 :

Serve hot with a choice of your dip.
