A flavourful dish that is slightly tangy and spicy. It tastes best with hot rice and chapati.

Cooking Steps

Step 1 :

Heat 1 tbsp oil in Kadhai. Add cut Bhindi and shallow fry for a few minutes. Keep aside.

Step 2 :

Add 2 tsp oil to Kadhai. Add chopped onion, and ginger-garlic paste and saute till brown. Now, add haldi and salt. Saute it.

Step 3 :

Blend tomato and cashews with some water into a smooth paste.

Step 4 :

Add tomato paste to the kadhai. Saute well. Add garam masala and saute till the mixture cooks. The flame should be medium. Once cooked, switch off the flame and let it cool.

Step 5 :

Mix curd, jeera powder, coriander powder and chilli powder well in a bowl.

Step 6 :

Add the curd mixture to the kadhai and mix well.

Step 7 :

Switch on the flame and let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the bhindi and mix everything well.

Step 8 :

Add water as required and let it all cook for 5-7 minutes. Finally, add Kasuri Methi, mix and let it cook for 2 minutes.

Step 9 :

Serve hot with rice or chapati and enjoy.
