Baklava is a majestic Middle Eastern dessert originating in Turkey. We are making it droolworthy by adding chocolate, walnuts and pistachios to it.

Ingredients

Chocolate Baklava Rolls

200 gm Dark chocolate 100 gm Chopped walnuts

80 gm Chopped pistachio 0.5 tsp Cardamom powder

14 nos. Filo sheets 1 Cup Sugar

0.5 Cup Water 6 pieces Lime wedge

2 pieces Star anise 100 gm Butter

Cooking Steps

Chocolate Baklava Rolls

Step 1 :

Take sugar, water, lime wedge and star anise in a pan. Bring it to a boil and then let it cool.

Step 2 :

Take melted chocolate in a bowl and add the nuts and cardamom powder to it. Mix well and keep aside.

Step 3 :

Take a filo sheet and apply but with a brush. Put another filo sheet over it.

Step 4 :

Take the chocolate mixture and lay it on one side.

Step 5 :

Roll it tightly into a cigar.

Step 6 :

Make 7 cigars like this.

Step 7 :

Take a baking tray lined with butter paper and place the cigars in it.

Step 8 :

Apply butter on it generously.

Step 9 :

Bake at 170°C for 35 mins or till golden.

Step 10 :

Pour the cooked-down sugar syrup on hot baklava.

Step 11 :

Decorate with pistachios and gold leaf (optional).
