Hilsa is a fish that fish-lovers swear by. This traditional recipe is easy to prepare, tastes delicious and goes well with hot rice.

Step 1 :

Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric. Heat mustard oil in a plan and splutter patch phoron.

Step 2 :

Add ginger paste and mustard poppy paste and sauce. Now add turmeric and red chilli powder.

Step 3 :

Add the marinated fish with green chillies and salt. Mix well and cook on a slow flame.

Step 4 : For Serving

Once done, serve with steamed rice.
