Preparation

Step 1 :

Sock chana dal overnight.

Step 2 :

Next morning, drain water from the chana dal and a make paste of it in a grinder.

Step 3 :

Add little water to meet the consistency of a batter.

Step 4 :

Add salt, chili paste, ginger paste, curd and fruit salt/baking soda. Mix well.

Step 5 :

Cover it for 5 minutes.

Step 6 :

Option 1: Add this batter in a greased pan (like dholka batter). Steam for 20 minutes in a pressure cooker (without whistle and ring).

Step 7 :

Option 2: Add this batter to microwave tray and microwave it for 8 minutes (or till done).

Step 8 :

Once done, add butter and grated cheese. Sprinkle some chat masala and red chilli powder.

Step 9 :

Your dish is ready to serve and eat.
