Raw banana is a very good source of iron and so this recipe is particularly recommended for women. Apart from this, the other ingredients used in the recipe too, have their advantages.
Peel the raw bananas, slice them into small pieces and soak them in water with a pinch of turmeric powder, approximately for an hour.

In a kadai, heat 1 tbsp oil, once heated, add mustard seeds, as they begin to splutter, add onions, garlic and curry leaves.

Allow the onions to turn light brown. Now, drain the bananas properly before adding them to the kadai. Simultaneously, add chillies and salt as required. Stir well.

Cover the dish with a lid and allow the bananas to cook until they become tender.

Lastly, turn off the gas and garnish the dish with desiccated coconut and serve.
