Khajuria is a crispy snack/sweet that is delicious and can be prepared in no time. It is specially prepared on Sankranti.

Step 1 :

Take a pan, add sugar and a little water to it and allow the sugar to dissolve completely.

Step 2 :

In a bowl, add wheat flour, rawa, fennel seeds, ajwain, ghee and pour in the melted sugar.

Step 3 :

Knead the dough from this mixture, ensure it is soft. Keep it aside for 10-20 minutes, place a damp towel over it.

Step 4 :

Heat oil in a kadai.

Step 5 :

Take a good amount of dough and roll it into a chapati, cut desired shapes out of it, make sure the dough is thick enough.

Step 6 :

Deep fry the pieces in oil until they turn golden brown in colour.

Step 7 :

Take it out, allow it to cool down to room temperature and serve it with tea or coffee.
