Sabudana Coconut Tikkis with Peanut Chutney

Sabudana and coconut make a great pair and tastes amazing in the form of tikkis when combined with a little jaggery. A special peanut and curd chutney goes very well with it.

Step 1 :

Soak sabudana pearls for 2 hours.

Step 2 :

As it soaks, prepare the chutney by blending the curd, ground peanuts, jaggery powder and salt together. The chutney can be refrigerated.

Step 3 :

After 2 hours, drain the soaked sabudana and keep in a mixing bowl. In the same bowl, add desiccated coconut, jaggery powder and salt, and combine.

Step 4 :

Do not mash the sabudana pearls.

Step 5 : To make the tikkis

Take small portions of the mixture, gently press and shape them into small discs.

Step 6 :

Brush a frying pan with a little bit of white oil and place the tikkis on them.

Step 7 :

Cook on a medium-low flame till they are brown on both the sides. Add a little more oil in between, if needed.

Step 8 :

Serve the tikkis hot along with peanut chutney.
