Khichdi with a twist from rice to oats and zucchini, making it highly nutritious and a complete meal not only for kids but for adults too.

Step 1 :

Heat a pan with 1 tsp ghee.

Step 2 :

Add 1/8 tsp rai, 1/8 tsp jeera, 1/8 tsp hing, 4 curry leaves and sauté.

Step 3 :

Add 2 tbsp oats and roast well.

Step 4 :

Add soaked moong dal, 1/8 tsp grated ginger, 2 tbsp grated zucchini and mix well.

Step 5 :

Now, add 1/8 tsp turmeric powder, 1/8 tsp salt and a little water.

Step 6 :

Cover and allow to cook.

Step 7 :

Garnish with 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves.

Step 8 :

Serve hot with curd or raita.
