Cooking Steps

Papad ke Pakode

Step 1 :

Take sooji and salt in a mixing bowl and mix well.

Step 2 :

Now add buttermilk to this and mix well. Cover the mixture and keep it aside for half an hour.

Step 3 :

Take papad in a mixer jar and coarsely grind it.

Step 4 :

Add onion, crushed cumin, coconut chunks, chilli powder, chopped ginger, green chilli, curry leaves, coriander, coarsely grind papad and mix well in a bowl.

Step 5 :

Add the mixture into the sooji mixture. Adjust the salt and consistency. If needed, mix in more water and salt till you get a medium-thick batter.

Step 6 :

Finally, add hot oil and baking soda one by one and mix them in.

Step 7 :

Heat oil in a kadhai. Take small amounts of the mixture and fry till crisp and light brown in colour.

Step 8 :

Sprinkle some chat masala and chilli powder with chopped coriander for garnishing. Serve hot with ketchup and green chutney.
