Add oil to a pan. Once hot, add hing and mustard seeds and let them splutter for a few seconds.

Further add the chopped and deseeded guava, all the spices except mango powder, and water and give it a good mix.

Cover the lid and cook until the guavas turn soft. Once cooked, add dry mango powder and adjust the spices as per your taste. Turn off the heat and let it sit for a few minutes with lids on.

Garnish the curry with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
