A fun twist to the regular appams! Here, roasted rava and curd batter is flavoured with seasonings and enhanced with cheese cubes while being cooked.

1 teaspoon Oregano 0.25 teaspoon Chilli Flakes

1.5 teaspoon Garlic Powder Oil for greasing

Salt as per taste A pinch of powdered Sugar

50 gm Cheese 0.5 Cup Semolina/Suji

0.25 Cup Sour Curd

Cooking Steps

Preparation

Step 1 :

In a bowl, add roasted sooji, half tsp salt, pinch of sugar, oregano, chili flakes and garlic powder. Mix one bowl of curd to it. Keep it aside for a couple of minutes.

Step 2 :

In the appam stand, add one tsp of oil in each depression, fill it half with sooji mix and then add one small cube of cheese in it. Again, pour sooji mix over it and cover it for 5 minutes.

Step 3 :

Turn the appam and cook it on both sides. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
