Quinoa Sheera

By using quinoa instead of sooji, you can make a unique and delectable sheera recipe.

Method

Step 1 :

Take 1 cup of quinoa, add 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of water and boil it for around 20 minutes until it is cooked. (Make sure to put the flame on low once the milk and water starts to bubble and come up).

Step 2 :

After it is cooked, continue to put it on a low flame and add 3/4th cup of sugar and blend well.

Step 3 :

Pour ½ cup ghee and continue mixing it until the mixture starts to leave the vessel. Once this happens, switch off the flame.

Step 4 :

Take a small kadai, add 2 teaspoons of ghee and fry cashew nuts and raisins.

Step 5 :

Add this to the mixture and serve.
