Step 1 :

Heat a pan and roast poha with minimum ghee until it is aromatic.

Step 2 :

Meanwhile, boil milk in a vessel. Once it starts boiling, add the roasted poha.

Step 3 :

Let the poha cook well for around 8-10 minutes. Stir it occasionally to prevent it from sticking at the bottom of the vessel.

Step 4 :

Once the poha is cooked, add sugar to it and stir well.

Step 5 :

Finally, add condensed milk and cardamom powder, stir it well.

Step 6 :

Roast cashew nuts in a little ghee until it turns brown and add it to the payasam.

Step 7 :

Serve it hot.
