Sattu is roasted chana dal flour. It is a great source of protein and is extremely filling. Parathas made with sattu is lip-smacking delicious, with the right balance of taste.
Knead well to make the dough soft. Cover the dough with a wet muslin cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Mix together sattu, finely chopped onion, finely chopped green chillies, minced garlic, finely chopped ginger, kalonji seeds and chopped coriander leaves for the stuffing.

Sprinkle some lukewarm water if the stuffing becomes too dry, so that it binds together.
Step 5

Take 2 tbsp of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Keep it aside.

Divide the dough into 5 balls. Roll it out into discs, take a disc apply little ghee and place 1 stuffing ball at the center.

Cover from all the sides and roll it out into a paratha of ½ an inch thickness.
Step 8

Heat a tawa and cook both the sides of the paratha. While cooking, add a little ghee on each side. Repeat for the rest of the parathas.

Serve hot paratha with curd, pickle and green chilli.
