Masala Prawn Paratha

A flavorful paratha rich in protein, carbohydrates & fiber. A delicious dish that can be eaten at any time of the day and is appealing to people of all age groups.

Step 1 :

Dry roast jeera, cloves, bay leaves & saunf in a griddle and grind them together to form powder.

Step 2 :

Grind together coconut, garlic, ginger, green chilies & red chillies in a grinder and make a thick masala paste.

Step 3 :

For the stuffing, heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add chopped onions and saute for 2 mins.

Step 4 :

Add turmeric powder & stir it for sometime. Then add the roasted masala powder and mix it. Later on, add the wet masala paste and stir again for 2-3 minutes.

Step 5 :

Now add the prawn paste, salt & cook on low flame till the oil is visible from all the sides. Then add lime juice and chopped coriander. Mix well and remove from fire.

Step 6 :

Combine wheat flour, salt and 4 tbsp oil & knead into a dough using water as required, Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Step 7 :

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape into balls. Flatten each ball and place a portion of the stuffing in the center, gather the edges and shape it into a ball again.

Step 8 :

Lightly dust each ball with flour & roll it into a paratha . Place each paratha on a hot griddle and cook on moderate heat on both sides using ghee until it gets crisp enough.
