During Navratri, sweet potato, also called shakarkandi is a root vegetable which is widely used. This tikki is an easy, fuss-free, nutritious and delicious recipe.

Cooking Steps

Navratri Shakarkandi Tikki

Step 1 :

Put the shakarkandis in a pressure cooker. Add enough water to cover them. Cook for 4 whistles. Cool, peel and mash.

Step 2 :

Add roasted, crushed peanuts.

Step 3 :

Add cumin, saunf, chaat masala, salt, coriander leaves, green chillies and water chestnut flour. Mix.

Step 4 :

Shape into balls. Flatten and pan-fry in ghee on a hot pan.
