A traditional Indian dessert, this nutritious and energy-boosting winter delicacy is packed with the goodness of various herbs, nuts, and ghee, making it perfect for people of all age groups during the cold season.

Cooking Steps

Katlu Lapsi Kheer

Step 1 :

Mix 4 tbsp katlu/batrisu powder in warm milk & keep aside for 20 minutes.

Step 2 :

Ghee roast lapsi till it becomes light golden in colour, add hot water & cook on low flame for 2 minutes.

Step 3 :

Add the prepared katlu milk (in step 1) & saffron strands to the pan containing cooked lapsi.

Step 4 :

Add milk khoya & grated coconut then mix properly & cook for 10 minutes on low flame.

Step 5 :

Add jaggery powder & mix well followed by adding chopped dried fruits, cardamom powder & nutmeg powder, stir well switch off the flame.

Step 6 :

Garnish with dried fruits & saffron strands & it’s ready to serve.
