Wash the lettuce well and tear them to 2 to 3-inch pieces. Soak them in cool water with a pinch of salt for 2-3 minutes.

Thinly slice the onion length-wise.

Take a small frying pan and roast the sesame seeds till golden brown.

Take a large bowl and toss in the dressing ingredients and mix well. Taste and adjust the salt, honey or chilli flakes.

Add the lettuce and mix well. If you have time, we suggest you dip each leaf and set it aside before tossing them all together in a bowl. This will help the flavours soak into the leaves better.

Cover it and let it sit for 20 minutes before serving.
