Sarva Pindi

Sarva Pindi is a spicy savoury festive snack, it is a circular shaped pancake made from rice flour, peanuts, sesame seeds, chana dal and spices.

Cooking Steps

Sarva Pindi

Step 1 :

Soak chana dal in water for 10 mins and keep aside.

Step 2 :

In a bowl add rice flour, and add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, thinly sliced onions and sliced green chilli.

Step 3 :

Then, add roasted and crushed peanuts, sesame seeds, curry leaves, soaked chana dal and mix everything. Sprinkle water in between while mixing and make a dough.

Step 4 :

In a pan, add 3 tbsp oil and place the rice flour dough and pat it and spread it thinly.

Step 5 :

Make holes in between the dough with fingers to pour the oil. Heat the pan and pour 2 tbsp oil in the holes and fry in medium heat for 10 mins.

Step 6 :

Flip and fry it for 5 more minutes and serve hot. Delicious Telangana Sankranti special Sarva Pindi is ready to eat.
